Earlier today, a protestor managed to breach security at the Capitol Building in D.C., yelling “Trump is treason” and throwing Russian flags as President Trump walked by the press gaggle, down the corridor located off of the second floor the Senate floor.
This instance appears to represent an instance where establishment media has gone beyond simply attempting to control the narrative, and instead physically intervene.
As reported by the Daily Caller, it is still unclear how the protestor, identified as Ryan Clayton, was able to make it into the press area, which requires valid press credentials in order to get past Capital security.
More interesting is that Clayton, a liberal activist and writer for the Huffington Post, is financed by The Young Turks, through their political action committee Wolf PAC.
Clayton has also been listed as the National Executive Director of Wolf PAC, being featured in a segment on The Young Turks. FEC records also indicate that Ryan Clayton received $77,550 in the 2014 election cycle and $80,246 in the 2016 election cycle, for a total of $157,796 from Wolf PAC.
Wolf PAC was founded by Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, with the mission of supporting a constitutional convention, in order to add an amendment to the Constitution to reform campaign finance laws.
According to FEC records, between 2013 and 2015, The Young Turks, LLC, donated $45,000 to Wolf PAC.FEC records further indicate that Kenan Turnacioglu, producer for “Ten Years of the Young Turks”, has also donated $12,750 to Wolf PAC between 2012 and 2015.
Today’s incident is not the first time Clayton has pulled off such a stunt. On January 6 Clayton was one of three protestors arrested for disruption, as Congress was in the process of finalizing Donald Trump’s election victory.
The following month, Clayton was caught distributing Russian flags to audience members at CPAC with the name “Trump” emblazoned on them.
According to the Daily Caller, another political action committee which Clayton is associated with, Americans Take Action, was also exposed as being behind the celebrity ad campaign aimed at convincing GOP electors to cast their electoral votes against Donald Trump.
Clayton was also exposed as being behind a fraudulent voter guide in Oregon, that falsely accused Speaker of the Oregon House, Tina Kotek, of being in favor of reducing pension payments, prohibiting GMO food labeling, and fighting the government on political participation.
The significance of this event is that it effectively represents the establishment media attempting to physically force the failed Russian hacking narrative to continue a literal intervention in the news cycle.
